About the SLA
Scotland’s Landscape Alliance (SLA), created in 2019, is a grouping of over 60 organisations with a common interest in raising awareness of the importance of Scotland’s landscapes to climate resilience and biodiversity, our economic performance and public health and wellbeing.
In doing this, we want to gain public and political support for the better care of Scotland’s landscapes and places to maximise future benefits.
Scotland’s landscape provides the context for all our lives and livelihoods and its stewardship is therefore of the utmost importance to progressing Scottish Government ambitions for nature, climate and people.
The SLA is overseen by an Executive Committee and constitutes around 60 organisations who take part in SLA led activity through Working Groups and debate led events.
The SLA is supported by National Trust for Scotland and Players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
