In June 2025 Scotland’s Landscape Charter was launched and endorsed by the Scottish Government. It highlights the importance of our landscapes to people, place and nature. The SLA recognise that good policy and tools exist around land and landscapes and we aim to reinforce this in a short term action plan reviewed annually. Our next stakeholder event will be held on the 30th October 2025 at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute in Edinburgh that will help us deliver this. Details to follow.
To help build momentum and positive outcomes for this stakeholder event we are keen to gain an understanding about the possible content and shape of a Charter action and delivery plan in advance and we need your input.
Over the next weeks leading to our event we will be presenting a series talking heads videos from people and organisations that demonstrate
- the tangible importance of the Charter to their work objectives;
- how the Charter with its vision and principles will help them deliver their work
- what they would like to see in the developing action plan that would help them deliver their priorities.
We will also put out a LinkedIn survey and ask you the same questions. Your responses will help us shape the stakeholder event and workshops in October this year.
Look out for the videos and survey coming soon.
